What is Geltium's stance on AI?

How I See AI Art

Straight forward I do NOT see AI art as Art.

I see AI art simply as one taking a deck of cards that has been painted on. The deck of cards are still wet and as you shuffle the deck of cards new colors and shapes can take form. Eventually as you keep shuffling you will end up with a single color and a single blob of a shape. More art must be added to the deck of cards to allow the deck of cards to continue being used. Take away the deck of cards completely and you remove the ability for the deck of cards to be shuffled. There will be no more colors or shapes. AI does not create Art; it just shuffles a deck of cards. Artists make art.

Simulation is defined as *the imitative representation of the functioning of one system or process by means of the functioning of another. As a big part of AI, simulations are used to duplicate real world things, events, or problems, and give us incite and possible answers to whatever questions have been proposed. Simulations need a lot of information which we generate and then program into the computer. At times we must reduce the complexity of the information so that the simulation can run. The simulation is given less information so that it can function better and not end up with errors. A person with less knowledge we see as ignorant. Yet a simulation which has less information is seen as intelligent. We create all the information into a computer and somehow are told that the computer will eventually be smarter than us. There have also been times when a person has moved a decimal point so that the simulation will give what one wants to see happen. In court they would call it “leading the witness”.

AI could be seen like a person sticking a stick in a car to hold down the gas pedal as they put the car into drive. The vehicle could then drive on its own and possibly into a crowd of people, which one then says, "I didn't do it." as if they did not have anything to do with what just took place. A statement that is all too commonly used by those in the AI space. As in a quote from **Wizard of Oz - "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain."

Like all human inventions there is a person behind it. AI does nothing without any people.

AI = Artificial + Intelligence = Fake + Smarts = Not Smart. By its own definition AI is not smart.

AI - Artificial Intelligence defined as -

*1: the capability of computer systems or algorithms to imitate intelligent human behavior

*2: a branch of computer science dealing with the simulation of intelligent behavior in computers

Artificial definition –

*1: humanly contrived often on a natural model : MAN-MADE

*3a: lacking in natural or spontaneous quality

*b: IMITATION, SHAM

Synonyms – *mock, false, fake

Intelligence definition –

*1a (1): the ability to learn or understand or to deal with new or trying situations : REASON, also : the skilled use of reason

*(2): the ability to apply knowledge to manipulate one's environment or to think abstractly as measured by objective criteria (such as tests)

Synonyms – *intellect, reason, smarts

I have seperated my portfolio from this site to keep this site more of what it is suppose to be ( a business site ). If you click on portfolio it will take you to a site brought to you by Canva. We feel this should also sped up the loading of our site.

What computer programs do you use?

I use Clip Studio Paint for all my t-shirt designs, Canva app, Krita, and ZbrushCoreMini at present. I am trying to branch out but one thing at a time.

How do you pronounce Geltium?

Geltium is easier to pronounce than you might think. Simply think of the word Gel /jel/ and add tium /tee-um/.

What do you use for your photography?

I am using a Samsung Galaxy S24+ and a Canon EOS Rebel 7T. New phone now using a Samsung s24+.

Where do you stream?

I am streaming on Twitch, but right now I am very bad at it and inconsistent. I also don't have good lighting or a microphone. I will keep everyone up to date as things move forward. Have not reached affiliate, yet.

What are some of your goals?

Creative Goals - 

To bring all my creations and ideas from my imagination to reality. Upgrade to full ZBrush would be awesome.

Stream Goals - 

To make a living and support my business and other projects. Most importantly enjoying myself and creating.

Most immediately to get affiliate.

PC Goals - 

Would love to build my own PC or at the very least some upgrades would be nice.
